New Horizons Travel Protection Plan

At New Horizons we understand the value of your travel investment and strongly recommend the purchase of our travel Protection Plan to safeguard and enhance your experience. We include the cost of the New Horizons Travel Protection Plan on your invoice.

Participation in the plan is easy; simply pay your invoice total. If you wish to decline participation in the plan simply subtract the plan cost from your invoice total and remit the balance. But remember, without travel protection you are responsible for cancellation penalties should you be unable to travel and you will not have the security of travel protection benefits while you travel. 7 DAY ADVANTAGE Purchase your plan within 7 days of your initial trip deposit to be eligible for valuable benefits! Terrorism If You purchase Your plan within seven (7) days of Your initial Trip payment and for the full non-refundable cost of Your Trip, You will be eligible for benefits up to Your protected Trip cost if You cancel Your Trip due to a Terrorist Incident. The Terrorist Incident must occur in a city listed on Your itinerary within 30 days prior to Your Scheduled Departure Date. This same city must not have experienced a Terrorist Incident within the 90 days prior to the Terrorist Incident which is causing Your cancellation. Benefits are not provided if Your Travel Supplier offers a substitute itinerary. Pre-X Waiver The Pre-Existing Medical Conditions exclusion is waived if; You purchase Your Protection Plan within 7 (seven) days of Your initial Trip payment; for the full non-refundable cost of Your Trip; and You are medically able to travel when You pay for Your Protection Plan; and You have not filed a claim for trip cancellation due to a Pre-Existing Condition within 180 days prior to the effective date of Your Protection Plan.

Unfortunately, many things happen that might cause you to cancel your travel plans or cut them short. The worst part is, without adequate protection, you can lose your Program investment. The New Horizons Tours & Travel, Inc. plan protects your Program investment if your trip is canceled or interrupted for a listed reason such as Injury, Sickness or death of you, an immediate family member, or a traveling companion or business partner.

If you must interrupt your trip or return home early for a listed reason, the plan will pay (up to the original cost of your trip) for your unused land or cruise arrangements, less any refund paid or payable, plus the additional air expense to return home or rejoin your trip.  

Medical Expense and Emergency Assistance Benefits Could Be a Real Lifesaver!

If you become sick or are injured while traveling, the last thing you want to worry about is getting the care you need. The New Horizons Travel Protection Plan gives you peace of mind with benefits for medical expenses, emergency transportation and 24 Assistance Services not only to help you coordinate the care you need but to also to keep in contact with loved ones at home.

Travel Delayed? You’re OK!

You’ll be reimbursed up to $100 per day for meals and accommodations (to a maximum of $500 total) if your trip is delayed for more than 12 hours for a covered reason.

Baggage Lost or Damaged? You're Protected!

It’s a traveler’s nightmare. You arrive at your destination, but your baggage has disappeared; or has been stolen or damaged. What do you do? If you’re protected by the New Horizons Travel Protection Plan, you’ll be reimbursed up to $1,000 to replace or repair your lost or damaged luggage and personal articles.

Baggage Delayed? Need Clothes and Toiletries? Count on us!

The plan reimburses you up to $100 to help cover the cost of clothing, toiletries and/or personal items if your baggage is delayed for more than 24 hours while you are on your trip.
