About Your Privacy

The purpose of this statement is to disclose the privacy practices for the nhtt.com web site. When you visit a web site, you can expect to be notified of: What personally identifiable information of yours is collected; What organization is collecting the information; How the information is used; With whom the information may be shared; What choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information; and How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information. Questions regarding this statement should be directed to webmaster@nhtt.com.

What personally identifiable information does nhtt.com collect from me?

Some personal information is gathered when you register as a member of the New Horizons web. During registration nhtt.com asks for your name, e-mail address, and other personal information. The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to serve you through our web. Once you register you are no longer anonymous to nhtt.com - you are given an nhtt.com ID and are able to take full advantage of nhtt.com's many services.

In addition to registration we may ask you for personal information at other times, including when you use an e-mail form to contact a New Horizons staff member. By identifying yourself to us we can better fulfill your requests.
Wherever nhtt.com collects personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

How does nhtt.com use my information?

nhtt.com uses any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience on our site, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the sites or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users.

nhtt.com uses information that users voluntarily provide in order to send out an electronic newsletter and to enable users to easily enter their information into contact forms. We send our newsletters to subscribers on a regular schedule (quarterly), and occasionally send out special promotions when we think members might be particularly interested in something we are doing. nhtt.com never shares newsletter mailing lists with any third parties, including our partners.

We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. nhtt.com does not track who the individual users are, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.

Who is collecting information?

When you are at nhtt.com and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with nhtt.com alone.

Festivals, workshops and clinics that are featured on nhtt.com are owned by companies other than nhtt.com or may be co-sponsored by nhtt.com and another company. Data collected during a request for information is not shared with these outside companies. If data would be shared, you will be notified prior to the time of data collection.

Please be aware that nhtt.com companies or web sites that have links on our site may collect personally identifiable information about you. This privacy statement does not cover the information practices of those linked web sites.

With whom does nhtt.com share my information?

As a general rule, nhtt.com will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your explicit permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.

Companies listed in nhtt.com have separate privacy and data collection practices. nhtt.com has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies. For more information regarding the merchant and their privacy policies, return to that company's home page and click on their Information link.

Protecting our business and our users: nhtt.com may also disclose user information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) nhtt.com's rights or property, other nhtt.com users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. nhtt.com may disclose user information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.

What are my choices regarding collection, use, and distribution of my information?

If you indicated upon registration that you are interested in receiving offers or information from nhtt.com or our partners, we may occasionally send you e-mail about products and services that we feel might be of interest to you. Only nhtt.com will send you these direct mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply tell us when you sign up to be a member. Or, at any time you can easily edit your MEMBER PROFILE to no longer receive our newsletter or mailings of special offers.

Except under the special circumstances as previously described, nhtt.com never provides our clients or partners with information that could be used to identify you personally, without first obtaining your express consent.

nhtt.com does not sell or rent information about individual users to third party marketing and advertising firms.

Correcting and updating personal information?

You may edit your MEMBER PROFILE at any time by using your user name and password to log into Member Services. If you have forgotten your password, please contact us at New Horizons and your password will be e-mailed to you. Without a valid matching e-mail address and username for the member in question we cannot release the password information. We will not give out password information over the phone.

nhtt.com sends regular e-mail updates to members. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, please click on the unsubscribe URL that appears at the end of each e-mail. Please allow two to three business days for the actual cancellation to take effect. We will never share your e-mail address with marketers or other external parties without first receiving your permission.

How does nhtt.com protect my credit card information?

Keeping your personal financial information private is vitally important to us. As with all personal information, nhtt.com will never rent or sell your personal financial information.

Your credit card information is not stored on the nhtt.com web server. When a customer makes a payment, the information is sent to an outside authorization service for processing. This process is outside of the nhtt.com web site and is used for security purposes. The service is performed on the secure servers of authorize.net, which has their own privacy policy statement. We suggest that you read the authorize.net privacy policy when using our online payment service.
Any time you are asked for a credit card number in order to complete a payment transaction or for verification purposes, that credit card number is transferred in an encrypted format.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?

Your nhtt.com account information is password-protected so that you and only you have access to this personal information. You may edit your account information, including your password, at any time by simply connecting and logging on to the Member Services area.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, nhtt.com cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

What else should I know about my privacy?

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online -- for example on message boards, through e-mail, or in chat areas -- that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.

Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.

We reserve the right to make adjustments or corrections due to errors, or typographic or photographic errors in advertisements or product descriptions. Policies, item availability and prices are subject to change without notice.
