Cavalcade of Music is praised as one of America's first-class high school music competitions. It is held at the Pikes Peak Center, and internationally acclaimed performing arts center whose excellent acoustics attract musical productions of national and international recognition and offer your students a lifetime of performance memory.

Celebrate the gift of music in Colorado Springs. In the past 21 years over 1,800 schools representing 17 sates and Canada have participated in this prestigious event. You don't want to miss it!

All groups receive verbal and written adjudication. Rating I-V will be given. First, second and third place awards with superior rating will be given in each classifications of the following categories: concert band, jazz band, choral group and orchestra.

Classifications are as follows:
Classifications school enrollment (9-12)

A 0-224
AA 225-499
AAA 500-999
AAAA 1000-1499
AAAAA 1500 up

• All groups entered receive participation certificate
• No sight reading is required
• Choice of literature is at the discretion of the Director and will be considered in adjudication
• A strictly enforced 25-minute time limit from entry to exit. Too much time will be considered in adjudication
• Number of selections is the choice of Director
