The National Outback Bowl Festival
Tampa Bay, Florida
December 29th -- January 1st, 2008
Tampa Bay plays host to the Outback Bowl, one of the nations top rated college bowl games. Play in the new Raymond James Stadium on New Year’s Day. A winner in the national television ratings, this event provides an exciting setting for the mass band halftime show to an audience of 65,000 people.
The festival offers adjudication and clinics for concert, jazz, and marching bands. The winner of our field show band competition will be presented as part of the featured pre-game show entertainment.
Part of the Outback Bowl Festival is participation in the Teco Energy Parade in historic Ybor City. Over 50,000 spectators line the streets to watch your band perform as part of this grand celebration. After marching in the parade, all festival participants head off to Busch Gardens for an awards ceremony, dinner and New Year’s Celebration in the park.
