All students, teachers and parents who travel on a New Horizons tour during the 2005 - 2006 school year are invited to submit a story about an event, performance or something that you experienced while on tour that left a lasting impression on you. The paper must relate to one or more of the following themes which include a memory that will last a lifetime, life changing experience, or a positive impact on your life. Please include with your story your Name, Address, Phone Number, and an E-mail Address, on the back side of the essay. A photo may be accompanied with the story, but this is not required.
When I was in high school, a choir trip to State festival or a band trip to the local College "Band Day" was considered an exciting event. Today, your students often take their first school trip in grade school, travel with their parents and by the time they reach middle school and high school they have already been to many new and exciting places. So what are kids dreaming about today? How can you capture their energy and enthusiasm for a trip to a place where they have already been?
For a lot of young people the trend is not as much the place, but the experience that they can relate to. Hanging out with their friends, feeling pride in performing, eyes in awe of something new and different, something to write in their journals or put in a scrap book, a story to tell, a memory that will last forever.
We would like you to challenge us to help create the "ultimate" experience…no matter where the destination. Share your dream with us and let your New Horizons team help make it happen.
New Horizons has developed vast resources that are eager to be creative and help turn your dream into reality. Share your dream with your New Horizons Sales Manager and together we can make it a reality.
Tell us your story… and you might be "published"
