Groups can enhance the educational value of their visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort with hands-on, Disney-facilitated workshops designed to strengthen performance skills.
Enrich the value of your performing group's visit with hands-on Disney Performing Arts Workshops run by professional Disney Clinicians. In sessions designed to strengthen participants skills (ages 11 to adult), your group learns and has fun while adding a touch of Disney magic to its performances. These 2 ½ to 3-hour Workshops make your performers truly shine.

"Disney Featured Performer"
Enhance your group's Disney Magic Music Days experience by granting it the valuable opportunity to rehearse with and accompany a professional Walt Disney World® Resort musician in a live concert. The musician critiques the rehearsal and performance to provide your group unique insights into becoming better performers.

For orchestras and concert, jazz, and marching bands, ages 11 and up.

"Disney's Performance Fundamentals"
Amplify your group's performance level with "Disney's Performance Fundamentals". This workshop exposes students to different teaching styles, interpretations and techniques while growing their awareness of technical and musical fundamentals.

For bands, ages 11 and up. Workshop includes up to 31 participants.

"Jazz It Up!"
Get hands on and "Jazz It Up!" with your band. This fun and practical showcase tackles the essential components of jazz with style - Disney style! Your group will examine phrasing improvisation, ensemble sound, jazz styles, and the rhythm section.

For jazz bands, ages 11 and up.

"You're Instrumental!"
Lay down some tracks with your group. "You're Instrumental!" takes concert bands into a recording studio atmosphere and gives them the unique chance to record their own soundtrack to a portion of a Disney animated feature.

For concert bands and orchestras, ages 11 and up.

"Disney Sings"
Tune in your group to "Disney Sings" and hear from a Disney vocalist and recording artist. Your choir will learn about singing styles, interpretation, and vocal dynamics. Plus, you will see demonstrations of how movement impacts song and vocal warm-ups enhance performance.

Ages 11 and up.

"Disney Sings - Young Performer Edition"
Introduces your young performers to elements of vocal performance. Lead by a professional Disney vocalist, your young performers will record their own soundtrack to a Disney feature animation film and learn to prepare the actual music and choreography from a Disney entertainment production number.

Ages 6-10.

"Disney's Show Choir Magic"
Liven up your choir's musical experience with "Disney's Show Choir Magic". Your group will learn vital elements of live show choir performance by focusing on the fundamentals of vocal technique and staged movement.

Ages 11 and up.

"Disney's Auxiliration"
Give your auxiliary/color guard an unforgettable experience with "Disney's Auxiliration", as they rehearse and perform a simulated Disney "special event" production. After a guided rehearsal, your students put on an exhilarating simulated performance showcasing all of the equipment and prop routines they've learned.

For Auxiliary Units, Pom Squads and Color Guards, ages 11 and up.

Kathy LeTarte Scholarship
Every group traveling with New Horizons to the Walt Disney World Resort is eligible for one $250 scholarship to a graduating senior majoring in any music career.  All submissions are then eligible for a $5000 Scholarship!
